After the interview John Haney said, "I forgot to say that recently I saw a man in the grocery lift a bouquet of orange flowers to his face to breathe in their scent, and I cursed myself for not having my camera with me. Then I realized that being a photographer means paying attention. It means you will see beautiful photographs everyday that you don't take. But in a way, you take them just by noticing."
